He was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and a respected member of Southeast Christian Center. Mark was born to Jack Walsh and Jeanne Goulette-Walsh on July 19, 1952 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Mark spent his early years in St. Paul, Minnesota, before moving to Portland, Oregon with his
family in 1967. He attended Grant High School where he met and fell in love with Christina
Waymire, who he married in 1973.
Mark spent his life pursuing his many passions, graduating from Metropolitan Learning Center, Mount Hood Community College, Rhema Bible Training Center, and Charis Bible College. He was a journeyman electrician by trade, avid photographer, early computer and technology enthusiast, and embraced the intricacies of his varied interests. He enjoyed traveling with his family and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycles.
Mark is survived by Christina, his wife of 47 years; their children, Ryan, Matthew, and Heather; his precious granddaughter Lily; his brother, Michael; and sister, Christina.
Mark’s Christian faith was an essential part of his life. He devoted time to mentoring young Christians and serving the church in many different capacities. Mark was honest, humble, thoughtful, and loving. We will miss him dearly.
