Marie Waugh, passed away on July 26, 2012. She was born to Clarence and Hendreaka Swift on December 8, 1915, in Adams Nebraska. Marie moved to Portland in the late 40's. She married Clinton Obbink until their divorce. Marie went to work for The Chase Bag Co. in Northwest Portland and after then married Luther Waugh. She was a member of Portland Christian Church. In her spare time Marie loved cooking, crocheting pot holders and baby doll dresses.
Marie was preceeded in death by her husband, daughter Ardith Ward, parents, a brother and two sisters. She is survived by, son-in-law Paul Ward, brother Jean Swift of Lincoln Nebraska, sister Erma Hendricks of Hawaii, grandsons Joseph Ward of Milwaukie, Oregon and granddaughter Kathy Lawson-Seely of Gresham, Oregon.
There will be a private burial at Rose City Cemetery.
