Marie Catherine Trout was born in Portland, Oregon on September 1st, 1923. She attended Grant High School, and became the second woman hired as a teller at the First National Bank in downtown Portland. After the war, she met and fell in love with Gene Trout, and the two married in 1947. They were blessed with two children and many beloved pets.
After Gene retired from being an electrician, Marie and Gene spent many years traveling the world together. They had a special fondness for cruises, and one of their frequent trips was to Alaska. Gene passed away in 2016, and while she missed him deeply, she lived to see her other granddaughter get married and a third great-grandson born.
She is survived by her daughter Lisa, son Art, her two granddaughters Kathleen and Christine, and three great-grandsons Simon, Colin, and Rowan.
