Manjit Sohal, a woman of extraordinary strength and love, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in India, as the eldest of 5 siblings, Manjit embraced her nurturing role early on. She moved to Canada at 15, where she overcame numerous obstacles in adjusting to an entirely new world with determination, resilience, and grace.
In 1982, she married the love of her life, Shan. While their time on earth together was cut short, they built a life of love and cherished moments in Texas and California before settling in Oregon, with the highlight being their two children, Jennifer and Kevin. She later welcomed her son-in-law, Jasjeet, into her loving family.
Manjit was beautiful, fashionable, and an exceptional cook. Above all, her kindness and generosity left a lasting impact. She was dedicated to her family and friends, offering unwavering support and love; Manjit’s legacy of strength and grace will inspire us always. She will be deeply missed by every soul she touched.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Manjit’s name to the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center Research or to the American Cancer Society.
