On August 31, 1940, she married Glen Arthur Willmschen in Stayton, Oregon. Louise worked in the health care field for many years. Among the positions in which she served were Ombudsman and Home Health Aide. She served with the Visiting Nurses Association for thirty years. She was a member of the Canby Arts Association, the Willamette Valley Herb Club, and had won many blue ribbons for her paintings and pine needle baskets.
Louise was preceded in death by her husband Glen in December 2001, and by her daughter Nancy Louise Clapp in November 1992. Also by four siblings, Ray Pemberton, Carl Pemberton, Leroy Pemberton, and Lucille Curtis.
She is survived by her children,
Virginia C. Lakin of Vancouver, WA; Evelyn E. Jefferies of Milwaukie, OR; Phyllis J. Willmschen of
Molalla, OR; Glenn Edward Willmschen of Damascus, OR; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Surviving siblings are brothers Burl Pemberton and Merrel Pemberton.
A memorial service for Louise will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 11801 SE Mt. Scott Blvd. in Portland.
