Lois Maxine Lopeman was born March 19th 1940 in DeKalb Texas. She was the first child of Annie Azlee Lopeman. She went by the name Maxine. When she was born the relative that was picking her first name was on vacation so her mother gave her the middle name Maxine and it stuck. When she came to Oregon she attended Hillsboro high school where she met Ramon (Raymond) Pottratz. She was married to Raymond Pottratz August 1st 1959 in Portland Oregon. They had three children, Irene Anne, Jeffery Dale, and Victoria Rae. She was a loving and devoted mother. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, and tending to her flowers. She became a grandmother and recently a great grandmother. She loved her family and took great joy in watching them grow.
Raymond passed away in 2005. She said that she missed him with every beat of her heart. She passed away June 5th, 2013 at Emanuel Hospital in Portland Oregon. She was 73. Now she is with him and we can find comfort in that.
She is survived by her children Irene, Jeffery, and Vicky. Her siblings Cecil and Mary. Her grandchildren Danielle and Chris and her great grandchild Liam.
