Lillie Irene (Hahn) Robinson was born January 15, 1925 on a ranch near Enterprise, Oregon in Wallowa County. She was the daughter of Willie H. and Mildred Hahn. She completed one year at Eastern Oregon College in La Grande, Oregon, as well as graduating from Gloria LaVonne Finishing School. She married Clifford A. Robinson on November 9, 1946 in The Dalles, Oregon. She was a retail manager and fabric buyer for Hank’s Super Center for 25 years. Coupled with this, she also taught garment tailoring classes. During her son’s high school years, she was an adult leader of the Civil Air Patrol. She was also a member of the Tech Rock Club, as well as a member of the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies. Lillie did outstanding lapidary work. In addition, she was a member of both the Oregon Wine Tasters Guild and the Oregon Wine Grower Association. As a life-long square dancer, she was a member of the Oregon Square Dance Council for a number of years. Lillie and her husband Cliff taught how to design and sew square dancing clothing at a series of seminars every year during square dancing festivals. She was a member of the Eager Beavers and the R-V 8ers Square Dance Clubs. She was an active gardener who took prizes for some of the 225 roses that grew in her yard. She is survived by her son, Carl Robinson, her daughter-in-law, Darlene Robinson; her grandchildren, Misty Robinson DeClark, Sean Robinson, and Kimberly Robinson; two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Maia DeClark; and her sisters, Thelma Maxwell and Ruby Milligan.
