Laura Nicole Rogers passed away peacefully at Thousand Acres Dog Park on January 6th, 2023. Known for deep compassion for her suffering patients Laura touched the lives of so many hurting people. Laura graduated from The College of William and Mary with a degree in Cultural Anthropology/Women’s Studies going on to earn a Physician Assistant master's degree from Pacific University in 2016.
She worked for Providence Hospital providing urgent care and later for Hooper Detox Clinic specializing in addiction medicine.
She enjoyed visiting Portland’s eateries and scenic wineries and spending time with her beloved dog Dakota. Her fiancé Peter Szczepanek notes that she was the greatest jazz musician of her era.
Laura is survived by a host of friends, her parents Thomas and Sandra Rogers, Fairfax Station, Virginia and her brother Benjamin Rogers, Ashburn, Virginia.
A memorial service will be held at Ross Hollywood Chapel 4733 NE Thompson St., Portland, OR on Saturday January 28 at 11 a.m.
