Larry, I remember our first double dating to the movies.  I remember popcorn spilled in the back seat of your new custom ordered car.  I remember you asking me to marry you.  I remember you telling me all about the beautiful scenery in Oregon and me crying when we crossed the border from Idaho into Oregon because it was so barren. I remember when we found out we were expecting our first baby...our second.  When we bought our first house next to your mom.  The Laurelhurst house, when we moved to Newberg because Lori was almost kidnapped and we wanted a safer place to raise our family. Than came the fun of building a house.  David bailing out of a swing and having surgery of his arm.  A ruptured appendix.  "Bands" on Lori's teeth.  The kids first cars. Snapshots of life, of the American dream.  Family! Football games & volleyball games. College.  The kids leaving home.  You were such a good Dad to our children.  I remember the middle age struggles, changing jobs, weddings, grandbabies.  I remember the loses.  Eddie, Jerry, Grandpa Neil, Grandma Brown, Cecil, Grandma Icia and now you are with them all waiting for the rest of us to join you in heaven with Jesus.  We're waiting for the next great adventure with you.  In the meantime I know you are enjoying all that God has made in this chapter of eternal life for you.  Your Hospice nurse said you were probably the type to sneak out and you did just that.  Quietly, suddenly you were gone.  You loved life.  You fought the good fight.  You died well.  I'm very proud of you.  You taught me to fight. You taught me to stick it out. You taught me the meaning of the word, Commitment.  "A person is only as good as their word. You taught me integrity.  I could tell by the look on your face, the look of peace, the "catcher" caught you. The leap was successful.  You are in the hands of Jesus.  I miss you, physically, mentally and emotionally.  I love you and will see you soon honey.  Some glad morning...........

I loved Larry like my own Dad.  We had some great times together.  I used to love playing cribbage and poker with him.  He schooled me many times. I have great memories with him.  We had a blast on our trip to Alaska.  Seen some pics on here.  Larry and I are a lot alike both "Real Men" :) . Seriously though, I will miss him and keep Ginger, Lori, Dave and his family in my prayers. God Bless !

Larry, my baby brother, what can I say in just a few words? I could probably write a book as we shared so many memories throughout the years. It would be extremely difficult to pick out the best or the worst, but no matter what, we were family. You stood beside me through so many very difficult times, and I probably never told you how much that meant to me, but I truly hope you knew. That said, we also shared some really good laughs and fun times. Your sense of humor really irritated me and would drive me crazy at times, but that was part of what made you who you were, and I hate to admit it, but I will miss it.  You also had a serious side that showed all of us how fair, honest, sensitive and steadfast you were. You were so courageous during those last months but always had a smile, even when I’m sure you didn’t feel like smiling. I’m proud to have called you “MY BROTHER”, and no words can ever express just how deeply you are missed. GOD’S promise is that one day we shall all be reunited in HIS LOVING PRESENCE. Until then…..

Dad, I know you didn't want to leave us. I know you felt like we needed you and we did.  You gave us so much of your time and you sacrificed so many things so we would have more some day.  I know you were proud of us and had big hopes for our success.  

You accepted people for who they were.  You might have had some concerns, but always giving second chances.  You really didn't say anything unkind about any one.  You truly loved all your friends and family.

Most of all, dad, you gave me the freedom to be my own person and there were no strings attached, just high hopes for a good and happy life.

I appreciate you dad, I could always count on you to be a consistent person, with good advice and an upbeat, positive attitude all the time!!

Finally the most important is the gift you gave me to know and grow in my faith and belief in God.  It's because of this truth that I can be at peace knowing that you are in a heavenly place.  I will see you again dad.  It will be great!!  In the mean time, you'll be missed and always loved!!

What can I say about my dear Uncle Butch, someone who always had a giant bear hug for you while at the same time asking how you are?  
My father's little brother, who always had a mischievous grin matching those sparkly blue eyes who came to be so dear to me.  I loved his teasing ways and then his big "Santa Claus" laugh.  Our Lord loves him already.  Love Cindy

I have so many good memories of Dad, I don't know where to begin!  He was the best Dad anyone could ask for.  Always there at all my games as well as waiting up for me at 12:30 AM (Curfew) to make sure I was O.K. and also to play one last card game before he went to bed. The most honest person I have ever known...when Dad gave you his word on something it was as good as done!!  He was also very generous, he would give you "the shirt off his back" if you needed it whether you even knew him or not.  I LOVE YOU DAD AND MISS YOU GREATLY!!

Larry was the Dad I never had and a voice I dearly needed.  He always seemed to understand how to communicate with me and after hearing a lot of stories I understand why! Ginger, I want to thank you for trusting his care to me in his final weeks.  Although hard in the end, very rewarding.  Dave, I want to thank you for sharing your Dad and this time in your life with me. Believe me when I say that your Dad was proud of how you handled things.  With love and best wishes!!

I would like to take this opprotunity to offer my condolences to Larr's family.  To Larry's wife Ginger to his children David & Lori. To all his grandchildren. to his sister Sandy and her family.  To Jill and her family.

Larry will be missed by all of therm and us also. 

I met Larry about 45 years ago and we had alot in common.  He had just gotten married and of the US Air Force and I had also just married and was out of the Navy.  We both had bought Mercury Comet cars.  We found out we both like to play cards and chess.  We were both pretty competive so that made playing these games fun.  He gave no quarter nor did I. We enjoyed the times we got to get together to play.  He was a good man who took pride in hard work and taking care of his family.  We had a lot of fun together camping occasionlly and fishing.  We drank our share of beer together. 

I always felt welcome at all of his family get togethers.  I thank him and his family for that.

Larry will be greatly missed by me and my family.

I am proud to have him as a friend.

May you rest in peace until our Lord Jesus returns.

Ginger...I love the last picture of Larry in the photos, it is so him!! He did love us, more than we know.  I will miss him and his quirkey sense of humor, his honesty and his loyalty to family and friends.  I feel honored to have known and loved him and to have been his sister-in law for many years. Hi Ginger!    So sorry to hear about Larry's passing.   I had NO idea until Rachel told me this afternoon.   You'd told me he was not well,  but I'd heard nothing further. I always admired Larry for knowing "who he was". He was real...and I loved him for that. The planet has lost another good man.  May God bless all of you as you grieve his loss and take comfort in your knowledge of the reunion ahead.

Ginger and Family,   Larry was a great friend.  I greatly enjoyed out times together and particularly in Lake Havasu from time to time.  We had a great time at the Havasu Gold Seekers gold mine near Havasu just poking around in the desert.  He sure loved his family, his children and grandkids and so enjoyed the sports played by Chad and Ryan.  He will be missed by all.  My condolences go out to all the family. Larry was an original to be sure!  Deciding to be at home with Jesus and his family during his last weeks here on earth was a courageous choice and one I really respect him for.
