Kimberlee Jean Mullen (Lanstrum) Sept 7, 1966-Nov 10, 2016 Kimberlee Jean Mullen (Lanstrum), 50, died at the Kaiser Westside Medical Center in Hillsboro following a protracted battle against bronchiectasis, a debilitating lung disease. She leaves her husband of nearly twenty years, Patrick Mullen; daughter, Avery Mullen; son, Lucas Mullen; furry daughter (dog), Maisy (Pickle) Mullen; mother, Carolyn Lanstrum (Sowards); father, Philip Lanstrum; brother, Todd Lanstrum; sister-in-law, Hannah Lanstrum; niece, Amabel Lanstrum; and many close friends. Born in Portland and raised by her adoptive parents in Lake Oswego, Kim used her significant energy and vitality to become an accomplished dancer between the ages of five and seventeen years old. She won many awards individually and as part of her dance team from Billings Dance Academy in Beaverton. She attended Jennings Lodge Elementary in Milwaukie, Junior High and High School at Lake Oswego. She was the only freshman to be selected for the dance team at Lake Oswego in the ‘80-‘81 school year. She spent a majority of her life on the water, yachting with her parents and friends at the Portland Yacht Club, cruising along the Columbia River and around the San Juan Islands, enjoying all types of fresh seafood. Kim modeled with the Media Talent Centre for years, starring in a commercial at the age of ten and performing in various events on the runway for Nordstrom. She attended courses in fashion design at Portland Community College before jumping into advertising in her early twenties. She later worked in the insurance industry as an office manager before she focused her complete attention on her family as a stay-at-home mom and active volunteer at the schools of her children. She was introduced to her future husband, Patrick, by his brother and they were married at the Enchanted Garden Wedding Chapel in Palm Springs, CA on April 19, 1997 at a small ceremony with family and close friends. Over the last few years, Kim returned to modeling and was featured in two different style articles in the LO Neighbors magazine and Lake Oswego Review, the latter with her daughter, Avery. Kim will be remembered for her strength, courage, wonderful sense of humor, selflessness, and deep love for family and friends.
