Kathryn V. McWilliams

Kathryn McWilliams departed this life on July 31st, 2012 in Portland, Oregon. She was born in Warren, Arkansas on Mother's Day in 1946 to Mr. Newton Hammons and Irene Hammons (Both preceded her in death). The family relocated to Portland, Oregon where she attended Holliday and Irvington elementary schools and later Grant High School.

Kathryn found the Lord at a young age, she was baptized by the late Rev. Dr. O.B. Williams and later joined Fellowship Baptist Church. At the age of 12, she met and later married the love of her life, Johnnie McWilliams. To that union, they had three children, Johnnie Jr. (Preceded her in death), Pamela and Darryl.

She was employed by Hughes Memorial Daycare for many years. She later was employed by Kaiser Permanente where she retired after 31 years of faithful service.

She leaves to mourn her husband Johnnie of 47-years, daughter Pamela, son Darryl, (Tamara), grandson, Adrian, grandson, Duane, granddaughter, Quiana (Jackson, MS), granddaughter, Rebecca, great-grandson, Jaylen (Jackson, MS), sister Ethel Holmes (preceded her in death), sister, Susie Daniels (James Daniels), Seattle, WA, sister, Zenobia Hammons, Seattle, WA, sister Amy Riggins, Portland, Oregon and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
