Karen was a loving wife, mother, and friend. She enjoyed road trips with her husband Tom, whether to the coast for their anniversary or to visit friends and family in Idaho. She was a sports mom and was dedicated to being at her children’s sporting events. She put long hours into softball practices with Sarah and bowling leagues with Brian, always her children’s biggest cheerleader.
She was an avid walker and coffee drinker, with most mornings spent frequenting the local Starbucks after a walk with her dog. Karen was crafty, dabbling most in knitting and crocheting. She loved making everything from gloves, hats and scarves, to stuffed animals that were given to friends and even made their way to an orphanage in Uganda.
She was firm in her faith, even during a difficult battle with cancer. She was passionate about serving in her church and always willing to help where needed. She constantly prayed for her friends and her family. Her faith was evident in the way she lived her life and in the impact she had on everyone around her. After a nine-month-long battle with cancer, the Lord called her home to heaven on March 21st, 2024.
She is preceded in death by her father, Carl, and mother, Margaret. She is survived by and leaves her legacy through her husband Tom, children Brian and Sarah, and her brothers Dale, Dan, and Keith and their families.
