John Yunkyu Kim

John Yunkyu Kim passed away on December 26th, 2022 at the age of 67 at St. Vincent’s in Portland, Oregon. He passed away due to a complication from a heart attack. John was born in Seoul, Korea and lived most of his life between California and Oregon.

From being a member of the Tri County Gun Club, outdoor fishing/clamming/crabbing adventures, wine collector, and tinker of electronics he was a man of many interests. He was even getting into pickle ball.

He was a beloved chiropractor and acupuncturist provider that was passionate about showing up everyday for his patients. He was devoted to helping everyone live a pain free lifestyle.

He’s known for his generosity in supporting many missionaries through multiple foundations.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, his Daughter, Candace, His son Alex, and his grandson, Leo John van Es

A funeral service for John will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Cedar Mill Bible Church, 12208 NW Cornell Rd., Portland, OR 97229. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Sunset Hills Memorial Park Or, 6801 SW SUNSET HWY, PORTLAND, OR 97225.
