John D. Bradley was born in Rio de Janeiro. His father came to Brazil as an FBI agent during WWII. His mother was the daughter of an attorney living there. When he was 10 years old, he and his sister Susan came to the US with their mother. He lived in the Carson City, NV area until his mother remarried, and they moved to San Rafael, CA. After graduating from high school, he attended UC-Davis, where he met his future wife. After graduating, he went to Ft. Benning, GA, where he began his active duty as an officer in the Army. In 1971 he returned to the US after a tour in Vietnam. He then married Cathy. In 1976 they moved to Portland to attend seminary. He started a business later called the IDAK Group. He helped hundreds of people find their God-given natural talents and trained many others to do the same. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, and son David. His memorial service was held at Grace Community Church in Gresham on January 15, 2022. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Union Gospel Mission or Grace Community Church.
