Joanne Jorgensen Lawson

Joanne (Jorgensen) Lawson was born on June 19th, 1928 in Fairbanks, AK. Her family was an Alaskan pioneering family which founded the Juneau-Douglas Telephone Company. She grew up in Seattle, WA where she attended Roosevelt High School and graduated in 1946. She then attended Washington State University and obtained her bachelors degree and became a life long KAPPA. She then attended Pullman University and majored in theater. There she met Richard G Lawson. They were married the same year that they had graduated, on August 24th, 1950. In 1968, Joanne received her Masters Degree in Speech Correction from the University of WI. She worked for many years as an Audiologist.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sidney and Carol (Webster) Jorgensen, her sister, Jean Jensen, and her beloved husband, Richard G Lawson in 2008.

She is survived by her three children, David Lawson, Rick Lawson and Carol (Lawson) Barth. Her three grandchildren, Anna Barth, Kai (Melissa) Lawson, and Cory Lawson, and one great grandchild, Jamison Patterson.
