Joan was born Feb.15 1931 daughter of Nellie and Owen Noble. She lived most of her life in Milwaukie, graduating from Milwaukie High School in 1949. In 1950 she married Don Doersch and they had four children Dona, Rick, Mike, and Kathy. They separated in the 60’s then in 1972 she married Max Rohde. Joan spent most of her working years at Omark Industries, retiring in 1986. Joan was an independent, loving, and caring person whose strong spirit left an impression on everyone she touched. In her spare time she liked to garden, sew and spend time with family. She also loved to visit the coast with friends and tour lighthouses.
Joan passed away on May 16 and is survived by three children, Rick, Mike and Kathy ; five grandchildren, Sam, Mandie, Ben, Karissa, and Shauna; and three great-grandchildren Nora, Taylor and Breckin. She will be missed.
Joan’s funeral will be held at Lincoln Memorial Chapel Monday May 23 at 10:00 am. Please joins us for a celebration of Joan’s life, wake to follow at daughter Kathy’s house.
