Jeanne Marie Clark was born on October 19, 1919 in Rieth Oregon to Paul and Helen Clark, the third of four girls and grew up in Portland. She attended Russelville and Ascension Grade School, as well as Gresham High School where she first met Clarence (Babe) Meinig. Jeanne and Clarence were married on September 3, 1939. Together they owned Meinig Oil Company and raised seven children in the home they built in SE Portland. Clarence passed away in 1995 after 57 years of marriage.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Meinig, and their son, Tom (2011). She is survived by her children: Michael, Carl, Tim, Edward, Elaine and Laurie; thirteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters: June Burke and Mary Patricia Vernier; as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Portland, Oregon.
