James "J.W" Willie Watson Sr.

James Willie Watson Sr., affectionately known as J.W, was born on September 28, 1949 is Phoenix, Arizona. To his parents Ophelia Baldwin and Julius Watson Sr.. James grew up in Phoenix, Arizona and then made his way to Portland, Oregon, where he had 5 beautiful children. James was a strong “handsome” hardworking, intelligent, talented man, so brace, and well-built and understood how to survive and provide as a young man.

James leaves behind his family who loved and adored every moment of his. He was a strong fighter and loved to live his life the way he wanted to. J.W will be truly missed!

James was preceded in death by his mother, Ophelia Baldwin and father, Julius Watson Sr.; grandchildren, Donte L Davis Jr., Victoria S Brown, Michael D Yarborough Jr.; brother, Julius Watson Jr.; sisters, Bernice Jackson, Pearlie Mae Robinson, Roselene Young, Jeline Milian-Cuesta, Corine Brown, Louann Watson, Louise Watson and Clara Watson.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory: to his children, Victoria Brown (Salem, OR), James W Watson (Portland, OR), Cynthia M Watson (Anchorage, AK), Daniel Nehler (Portland, OR), Ritchie Martin (Portland, OR); step-children, India Vasquez (Portland, OR), Zion Menyweather (Portland, OR); grandchildren, Donte L Davis Sr., Lantoria M Davis, Vernedia S Ross, Mi’Kail W Brown, Lamont Binion, Deshawn Binion, Qwantrail Binion, Devontae Binion, Trey Martin, Tiara Martin and Crey Nehler; great-grandchildren, Tatiyana R Lewis, Victor Jackson Jr., Legen Er’moas Brown, Jaylyn Brown, Amani Brown, Lorenzo Brown, Keyson Wintson, Dahki Davis, Tayveon Davis, D’Auni Davis, Sanyi Davis, D’Mitri Davis, Seaun Davis, Carter Davis, Karson Davis, Eryn Davis; sister’s Laura Hillman and Shirley Johnson. As well as a host of nieces & nephews.
