James William Lear II was born November 8, 1960 in Vancouver, Washington to James William Lear and Vida (Rogers) Lear. Jim attended school at Marshall Elementary, Gaiser Jr. High and graduated from Columbia River High School. He attended Clark College and joined the U.S. Air Force, trained in Texas and went to Ankara, Turkey for his overseas tour of duty.
Returning stateside, he joined his wife Lisa K, got a discharge and came back to the Northwest to raise a family of three handsome boys. After a divorce, he married Leesa Brooks.
He was predeceased by his father and an older sister, Vedelya in May of last year. He is survived by his mother; Vida Jones, four sisters; Jewell Runger, Jamice Ross, Melody McKinley, and Tanya (Gregory) Temme, his wife Leesa, three sons; Jimmy (Michelle) of Brandon, S.D., Timothy and Marc of Portland and numerous nieces and nephews and two granddaughters. He also had two stepdaughters and four step-grandchildren.
Jim always displayed a good sense of humor and will surely be missed by his family and friends. He died on Wednesday Apr. 20, 2016. He will be interred at the Willamette National Cemetery.
