Our beautiful and loving wife and mother Isabel Bob passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on February 17, 2024, at the age of 65. Isabel was born in Almeria, Spain on December 15, 1958. She was the 5th child in a family of 8. She immigrated to the United States with her family when she was four years old. The family arrived in New York on New Year’s Day 1963 on a ship, the Constitution. Isabel didn’t speak a word of English at the time. The family traveled across the country in a bus to Vacaville, California where she grew up and graduated from Vacaville High School in 1977. She worked at many jobs during high school and spent many years with Basic Vegetable Products California where she was an Administrative Manager in the International Sales Department.
Isabel met her husband John when they were paired in Isabel’s sister Lola’s wedding party in the spring of 1993. They fell in love and were married in Lake Tahoe on Isabel’s birthday that same year. Isabel left her job and moved to Idaho to be with her new husband. They later moved to Oregon. She was the best wife and did everything for her husband. Isabel and John's daughter, Elizabeth, was born in 1997 and their son, Brandon in 1999. Their birthdays are one day apart. Isabel always wanted to be a mother and she was the best mom. Her life revolved around her beautiful children to the day she passed. She loved them so much and was very proud of the wonderful, beautiful people they had grown up to be. They were the light of her life.
Isabel loved to spend time with her family traveling, participating in the lives of her children, and just doing whatever she could to support and bring happiness to everyone. She loved her trips to Mexico with her family! She also loved to just sit around the table and spend the day talking to friends and family.
Isabel was a special person that could make everyone feel welcome and loved almost instantly. She could talk to anyone and loved a good conversation with family, friends and new friends she met along the way. Her infectious smile, laugh, positive outlook on life and her wonderful loving personality will be in our memories and hearts forever. She is missed tremendously.
Isabel is survived by her husband, John, daughter, Elizabeth, son, Brandon, father, Antonio Gonzalez, mother, Rosa Gonzalez, sister, Rosa (Peter) DiMichele, brother, Juan (Mary Jane), brother, Danny Gonzalez, sister, Maria (Bob) Perry, sister, Fina Gonzalez, sister, Lola (Jerry) Bob and many nieces, nephews, cousins that she loved with all her heart.
