Born Hilda Floetta Standish in Holley, her father nicknamed her "Happy" as a baby and she was known by that her entire life. A direct descendant of Captain Miles Standish, she grew up in Sweet Home and graduated from high school there. She married Lester Meyers in 1942 who died in 2001. They had two sons, Douglas and Steven; and grandchildren, Jennifer and Kristopher. She died peacefully at home, joining her beloved husband. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Ross Hollywood Chapel.
