Glenn Edward Corcoran of Wilsonville, Oregon died peacefully and comfortably on April 27, 2022, surrounded by his family. He was 79. We are saddened beyond belief to be without him and his larger-than-life presence and sense of humor.
He was born in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, son of Irene and Edward Corcoran. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Bob. He is survived by his wife, Becky; children Heather Ruden, Kevin Corcoran (Kristin), Mark Corcoran (Jessica); four grandchildren: Abby Corcoran, Allie Ruden, Guy Corcoran and Charlie Corcoran, as well as many cousins and family friends.
A retired professional sales executive, Glenn was known at each company to be a top performer and mentor to others. He enjoyed making friends with his customers and teammates; many of which are friends to this day. He was committed to supporting others. He served local small business owners as president and board member of the Metropolitan Business Association, as well as a supporter of the Oregon Food Bank, and always making sure a special family in need had a great Christmas.
Glenn was inclusive, caring and always ready to offer a supportive hug, and a smile punctuated with humor. Laughter was his best medicine. He loved a hear about the adventures of his children, grandchildren and friends, and never hesitated to retell those stories with pride and joy.
He enjoyed golf, solving puzzles, classic movies, time at their cabin in Detroit Lake, traveling with Becky in the past few years, and most of all spending time with family and friends.
A service celebrating Glenn’s life will be held on Saturday, May 21 at 1:30pm at Finley’s Sunset Mortuary in Portland, OR.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oregon Food Bank in Glenn's honor.
