Gerald Loy Ellis, of Northeast Portland passed away peacefully after a gradual decline in his health on Sunday Oct. 24, 2021 at the age of 89, he was surrounded and supported by his loving family. Gerald was born in Alma, Nebraska on July 25, 1932 to Loy and Minnie (Mansfield) Ellis.
Gerald graduated from Grant High School in 1950. Following graduation, he was drafted into the Army, serving in the Korean War. Gerald found his true love, Joan K. Faber and they were
married and spent 56 blissful years together. Gerald worked at First Interstate Bank for 32 years, retiring as Vice President. He enjoyed walking, golfing, fishing and loved the outdoors.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife Joan and their son Brad.
Gerald is survived by his children, Lorri Winger (Kevin) and Randy Ellis (Kelli); grandchildren, Ryan, Courtney, Jordan,Taylor; and great-grandchildren, Jaylinn and James. He will be greatly missed by his friends and family and will always be remembered in our hearts.
