Georgia worked as a presser for White Stag, and later as kitchen staff for Portland Public Schools, retiring after Dewayne fell ill in 1995. Dewayne passed away in 1998.
The family did a little camping and blackberry-picking together, but they primarily enjoyed gathering together as family in their homes or in local parks. They annually went on Christmas tree cutting expeditions. She enjoyed baking apple pies to freeze and making jam from apples taken from family land. Georgia was also a huge Bingo player, having been introduced to it late in life.
Georgia will be interred next to her husband Dewayne at Willamette National Cemetery.
