George Davis Mumby Sr. passed away on March 10, 2019 in Lake Oswego, Oregon. He was born in Portland on August 30, 1927 to Orville and Linda Mumby (Weber). George lived in Tigard for 66 years in the home he and his wife Margaret built together. George started working for NW Natural in 1948 and after 42 years of dedicated service, retired in 1990. He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret and their son, George Jr., and daughter Beverly Bates. George is survived by daughter Dorothy White of Tigard; 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 30 at Young’s Funeral Home in Tigard, 11831 SW Pacific Hwy. George will be placed with his wife at Willamette National Cemetery.
