

Fredell Mason, also known as Fred or Uncle Fred, passed away on June 28, 2023, at the age of 71 in Portland, Oregon. Born on November 14, 1952, in Fresno, California, Fredell was a very private person who enjoyed spending his free time relaxing and watching TV. He had a simple and routine life, always keeping things neat and tidy. Fredell had a special talent for making delicious burgers, which brought joy to those around him. He had a vibrant social life and was well-loved by his friends and family.
Although Fredell never had children of his own, he cherished his nephews and niece as if they were his own. He will be deeply missed by his brother, Joseph Harris Sr., his sister-in-law, Mary Harris, and his nephews Joseph Harris Jr., James Dixon, and Marcus Dixon. Additionally, he is survived by his nieces Teresa Harris, Rosalyn Harris, and Katrina Harris, as well as his great nephews Joseph Harris III, Tyus Strickland, Joseph Stanley, Isaiah Harris, Sincere Allen, Skye Rayford, Travis Dixon, and Jordan Dixon, and his great nieces Deserae Broadnax, Journey Dixon, and Jazlyn Dixon. Fredell also leaves behind a host of extended family members in California and Arizona.
In his career, Fredell worked in the hotel industry as a Waiter/Caterer. He dedicated his time and skills to various establishments, but ultimately retired from The Benson Hotel, where he had the opportunity to serve and cater to countless guests.
Fredell's hobbies were centered around his love for TV shows and spending time with his friends at his favorite bar and grills. These activities brought him joy and allowed him to create lasting memories with his buddies.
A gathering to celebrate Fredell's life will be held at Zeller Chapel of The Roses Funeral Home on Sunday, July 9th, 2023. It will be a time for family and friends to come together and pay their respects to a man who brought laughter and happiness into their lives.
Fredell Mason will be remembered for his private nature, his humor, and the love he shared with his extended family. The memories will be cherished, forever. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
