Frank Joseph Amato, born April 2, 1930 to Joseph Phillip Amato and Rose Marie Amato (D'India), passed peacefully in the comfort of his Southeast Portland home on December 20, 2019.
Frank was a lifelong Portland resident who owned and operate a local refuse and disposal business for 26 years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He successfully bred and raised greyhounds. Frank was a loving husband to Bonnie Amato, who passed in 1999 from cancer.
He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Mosar; son, Ricky Amato; several grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
Frank has requested any gifts of remembrance be made as a donation to OHSU's Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
