Edith Lee Lopez passed away on October 20th., 2011 at the age of 67. Edith was born in in Sioux City, Iowa on April 7th., 1944. Edith was one of 11 children, and spent her childhood following the harvest with her family around the country. They settled in Portland in 1958, continuing to work the farms and fields of the Willamette Valley.
Edith worked in management at various restaurants and gas stations, as well as helping Candy with their cleaning business, E and C Cleaning. In her spare time she enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking—especially big family dinners, fishing with her boys when they were younger, and listening to music of all types, including gospel.
Edith is survived by her beloved husband Candelario, her four children Miguel, Jose, Lorenzo and Debra, and two sisters and one brother. She is also survived by her six grandchildren who were the joy of her life.
Edith will be remembered as one of the most giving people anyone could hope to meet. She and Candy often opened their home to family and friends who needed a place to stay. She was outgoing and always the life of the party.
