Dorothy Jewitt Rose was born June 1, 1932 in Portland, Oregon to parents Sidney and Esther Jewitt. She grew up in Milwaukie, Oregon, and graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1950. Dorothy worked at the ice rink at 20 N.W. Marshall St. from the late '40s to the early '50s. She worked for Fick Distributing Company in the early '50s, until 1958. In 1956, she married Armel Rose. Dorothy was active at St. Therese Parish, the Women Association and the ACCW. Dorothy loved ice skating, golfing, fishing, and camping. Dorothy passed away on December 27, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband Armel Rose (2001). Dorothy is survived by her son Rodney Rose and his wife Julie, Grandson Sam Rose, and Great Grandson Brayden. There will be a get-together and celebration of Dorothy's life at a later date.
