Dorothy passed peacefully surrounded by family. In her 98 years she lived an eventful, full life. As she would say, almost two lifetimes.
Her father started Miller Products Company (which later became Lilly Miller), a home and garden agricultural chemical company in Portland, Ore., of which her first husband, Frank Stewart, became president. Dorothy and Frank proudly raised two sons in Lake Oswego, Ore., and had many memorable parties with friends. She and her second husband Belford Buck shared a love of tennis, golf and seeing the world. They lived on the fourth hole at the Summerfield Golf Course in Tigard, Ore., and traveled throughout Asia and Europe, visiting Wimbledon many times.
Dorothy attended Oregon State University and later was in the Garden Club and President of the Portland Assistance League. She loved playing bridge with friends but her greatest passions were her faith and family.
Everyone will remember her life lessons and stories, her infamous letters and great sense of humor. She was generous to all, was independent, strong and forthright. Needless to say, she influenced the lives of many.
Survived by her son Scott; stepsons Kevin and Pat; daughters-in-law Laurie, Noreen, Donna and Sandi; grandchildren Jeni, Todd, Michalyn, Frank, Jeffrey, Lisa, Nicole; and 14 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by husbands Frank and Belford; stepson Michael; and first son Rand Stewart.
Always the hostess and entertainer, she left an impression on this world and in all of our lives…she will truly be missed.
