Don, born October 14, 1927 in Columbus, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on November 18 at the age of 84, from complications related to Alzheimer's. He was preceded in death by his wife Lorrie. He is survived by his 7 children: Jeff, Marcia, Steve, Mark, Kristi, Julie and Scott, his 13 grandchildren and his 4 great-grandchildren.
Don was an avid hiker who climbed Mount St. Helen's at the age of 75. He loved to dance, and never turned down a game of cards with family or friends. Don retired from Reynolds Metal Company at the age of 55 and enjoyed traveling with his wife.
His funeral will be held on November 23, 2011 at 11AM at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Portland, Oregon.
Remembrances can be made in his name to the Alzheimer's Association.
