Dennis was born to Harry and Florence (Harter) Dimick in Davenport, Iowa June 6, 1942. His early childhood was full of fun along the banks of the mighty Mississippi River as well as the small creeks, cattails, and woods of Beaverton, Oregon. His parents were fine examples of hard work, ethical living, and being a good person. His mother took the boys to Canyon Road Baptist Church, where he found his love of Jesus.
After graduating from Beaverton High School, he enlisted in the Army, and served in 2nd Platoon Combat Engineers (as a construction machine operator), and was stationed in Hawaii before serving overseas in Thailand.
Dennis served many years as an Elder and Deacon for his churches, most recently in his home church, Crosswinds of Hope.
In 2016, Dennis met the love of his life Adela. It was life-changing for both, and soon after they were married on July 23, 2016. Dennis’s life expanded exponentially, with a whole new family and friends in the Philippines. He was loved and accepted immediately, blessing him more than he could have ever imagined.
He is survived by his wife Adela and brother Richard; His children Michael and Angie, Jewel & Tim, Magie and Dan, Larry, Lito, Vilma and Ruby, and with a blessing of 14 grandchildren.
For You are my hope, O Lord God; You are my trust from my youth.
