Dennis Richard Day, 76, passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2016 in Clackamas, Oregon. He was born in Bend, Oregon but grew up in the town of Sisters, Oregon. He graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor's Degree in Science, later enlisting in the United States Army where he served his country and was honorably discharged.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Margaret Day of Clackamas, OR; son Shaun Day (Molly); Step-daughters, Karen Raymer, Barbara Welch (Ron); and grandchildren, Cameron, Nick, Conor, Carly, Katie, Mitchell, Jake, Brandon, Libby, Ellen; and Dasher (his beloved dog).
Dennis was well respected in the building materials industry where he cultivated life long friendships.
Dennis’ passions in life were his family, home, and the outdoors. He will be dearly missed by all that had the pleasure of being close to him.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations are sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
