Curtis LeRoy Fudge Sr., 74, of Las Vegas, NV passed away on October 11, 2022, from complications of cardiovascular disease. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 10:00am at Finley-Sunset Hills Memorial Park, located at 6801 SW Sunset Hwy., Portland, OR with a private viewing beginning at 9:00am.
Curtis was born in Portland, Oregon on January 19, 1948, to Leroy and Selma Fudge and raised in La Habra, CA where he graduated from La Habra High School, class of 1966. After High School, Curtis joined the United States Navy in January 1967 as an Aviation Ordinanceman where he served in Vietnam, receiving the Vietnam Service Medal with a Bronze Star. Curtis went on to serve a total of 33 years on both active and reserve duty before retiring in 2000, remaining patriotic throughout his life.
Curtis was proceeded in death by his parents, LeRoy Fudge and Selma Fudge-Riggs. Curtis is survived by his sister, Carol Gerritsen, his brother, Bradley Fudge (sister-in-law Kitty Fudge), his wife, Leslie Woodworth-Fudge, his four children, Christina Knisley (son-in-law Jody Knisley), Curtis Fudge, Jr., Christopher Fudge, and Sarah Fudge-Joyce (son-in-law Patrick Joyce), his 5 grandchildren, Evan Knisley, Hayden Fudge, Kylie Fudge, Skylar Fudge, and Max Knisley.
Curtis was a loving family man who worked in the sales industry his entire life. In his early years he worked in auto sales and later in life for Marriott as a Senior Sales Executive who received many accolades and awards. Curtis was a 32nd degree Mason and active member in the Masonic Lodge where he served as the Past Worshipful Master of La Habra Lodge #659 and also an active member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Orange County, CA.
For Curtis, there wasn’t a John Wayne movie or Elvis Presley song he didn’t like (or play on repeat every chance he could). Curtis said, the most precious and memorable moment of his life was spending his last vacation in Maui, HI with all four of his children. Curtis will be forever remembered as a wonderful, loving father and grandfather. A tender, patriotic and humble man who will be thought of fondly by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
