He was a loving husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
Cecil was born in Nebraska to James Shelby Edwards and Ethel Estelle Sterling in 1926. He was one of 8 children.
He moved to Oregon in 1947, where he met Thelma. He enlisted in the Navy in 1948 where he attended Cook's and Baker's school.
On June 9, 1951 Cecil and Thelma were joined in marriage at Good Shepherd Lutheran. Their marriage of 59 years was blessed with the birth of 3 daughters.
Cecil worked for Best Ever Doughnut Shop for ten years. In 1961 he went to Work for Albertson's and worked as a bakery manager until retiring in 1988. He then kept busy painting houses and doing other handyman jobs.
His passion was cooking and baking. He also loved his family, pets, vegetable gardening, camping, hunting , fishing, telling jokes,playing poker with his buddies and bowling with his teammates weekly.
He died peacefully at his home in August. He was 89.
He leaves behind 2 daughters, Jillian Edwards-Peecher and Donna Halvorson.
