Carol was born August 19, 1935 to Frances and Michael Senko in Portland, Oregon. They resided in West Slope, and Carol attended Beaverton Grade School. She became a sister in 1947 when her bother Patrick was born. In 1950, her dad sold his gas station in Sylvan to make way for the new freeway coming through, and moved the family to Oakland, California. The next year, they moved to Clarkston, Washington where Carol attended Upper Columbia Academy. The summer before her junior year, they moved back to the Portland area where Carol then attended Columbia Academy in Meadow Glade, Washington. It was here that she formed many life-long friendships and met the man of her dreams, Orville Crull.
Carol and Orville married on March 17, 1953, just before Orville left for basic training to serve in the Korean War. He served until 1955, during which time they had their first daughter, Kathleen. Their second daughter, Jennifer, was born in 1960, and Carol quit work at United Grocers to be a stay at home mom. In 1966, they bought the auto repair shop where Orville had been working, and Carol ran the office there for many years.
Family was always extremely important to Carol, and she was happiest when surrounded by the people and dogs she loved. She also had many talents that included oil painting, sewing, needlework, knitting and playing the piano. She had a genuine interest in people, and with her happy, outgoing nature, she made friends easily.
Carol was a bold, dynamic, giving, loving, straightforward, funny mother, sister, wife and best friend. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
