Bernadette A. Scheufeli passed away at home in Oregon City on Tuesday, November 27 after a short illness. Bernadette was born on January 21, 1928, in Cicero, Illinois, to Eugene and Maria Heintz. She married Arthur R. Scheufeli on April 16, 1955, and had five children, Arthur J., Mary, Anne, John, and Teresa (Greg). Bernadette had eight grandchildren, Jesse and Jordan Scheufeli, and Haley, Katlyn, Gregory, Samantha, Matthew, and Jenna Neal.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Lou and Eugene, sisters Martha and Mary, and son Arthur.
Bernadette was a proud member of the Oregon City Elks, loved a good game of "bingo", and always enjoyed special dinners and holidays with family and friends, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend and shall be missed beyond words.
