Anna Pennino Jones, born June 2, 1924, in Naples, Italy went peacefully to her eternal rest on January 31, 2025. Anna is predeceased by her father Giuseppe, mother Raffaela, her daughter Rita, her son Michael and her loving husband Larry. She was a devout Catholic and served the Lord. Her hobbies included gardening, crocheting, cooking, and volunteering 52 years of her life to help others at the Clackamas Service Center where the clothing room has been named in her honor – “Anna’s Annex”. Anna was the most caring and generous person who was happiest when she was surrounded by family or helping others in need. She will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.
Anna is survived by her two daughters Suzette K. Blucher (Gerald) & Doris Cook, along with her son Thomas Taylor. Anna was adored by her daughter-in-law, Nita Kreuzer, along with her grandchildren Michele Normand (Brad), Kathryn Swazo (Jarren), Kristi Hickey (David), Brian Lehmann (Kimberly). She cherished her great grandchildren Jeffrey & Aaron Normand, Tyler Hickey, Brittany Cocks (Jacob), Brendon & Cameron Swazo, and Olivia Lehmann, along with her great-great grandchild, Cohen Cocks.
She has left a legacy of compassion and unconditional love, a commitment to the wellbeing of others, joy and gratitude. Her life was one of creating justice for those whose voices were otherwise unheard.
The family will receive relative and friends on Friday, February 28th at 2:00 PM at St. Joseph the Worker church located at 2310 SE 148th Avenue, Portland.
