William Chester Richards

Vassalboro- William, “Willy” C. Richards left us way too soon on May 26th 2023. He was born on August 1st, 1969 in Fitchburg Mass. To Francis Richards Sr. and Gladys (Bezanson) Richards. Willy was the twelfth of thirteen children.

Willy attended Winslow High School where he met and later married the love of his life, Geraldine “Geri” Bowdoin. They had two children, Jason and Amanda Richards. Willy worked as a general laborer and later became a CNA, CRMA caring for the mentally challenged. Due to his own illnesses Willy retired early. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, outdoor activities, and good times with family and friends.

Willy was predeceased by his wife Geri of 35 years, his father Francis Richards Sr., and three siblings, Roger Richards, Helen Richards, and Marie Richards. He is survived by his son Jason Richards and significant other Holly Gagnon and their three children Kaylee, Jayden, and Abigail. His daughter Amanda Richards and significant other Chandler Fyfe. His mother Gladys Richards and siblings Francis Richards Jr., Edwin Richards and wife Jackie, Avalone Cote and spouse Roland Cote Jr., John Richards, Katherine Prosper and spouse Norman Prosper, Cecile Starkweather (Richards), Gloria Roy and spouse Roland Roy, Gordon Richards and wife Hope, and Victoria Geddis (Richards). Beside his immediate family Willy will be missed by many nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends.
