Steven L. Frost, 77, a long-time resident of Cumberland, Maine passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, after a lengthy illness. He was the first son of Desmond and Ervena (Carmichael) Frost. Steve always said “I was born in a manger” in Unity, Maine. He grew up in the mid-coast region of Maine, Texas, and landed in South Portland where he settled into one of his passions, car restoration, and became a renowned restorer of antique trucks, many of which are on display around the U.S. and Canada. He was co-owner of Acme Body Shop and later Dirigo Restorations.
After his retirement, Steve took on his next passion, delivering flowers for Skillins. He loved to “make ‘em smile”, he said. He enjoyed his winters in Arizona on the golf course or around the pool with his wife, Joyce, and family and friends that would visit. Steve would have been married to his “little love bug”, Joyce, 34 years on August 11. He loved get togethers with family and friends at their summer home on Thomas Pond, enjoying the fun, laughs, loons, and sunsets over Mount Washington.
Steve leaves behind his wife, Joyce Frost; his son, Dean and his wife Dorothy of Chattanooga, TN; his sister, Connie and her husband Robert York of South Portland; his sisters-in-law, Ellen and her husband Daryl Quinn, and Sally Davies; his brother-in-law, Larry Ruby; and his nieces and nephews, Tammie and her husband Dale Bradley, Kim and her husband Stan Brown, Rebecca Brown, Melissa and her husband Joe Dorazio, Liz Quinn, Lee and his wife Stacey Ruby, Sarah and Shaun Davies, Chantel and Megan Ruby; and his five great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Larry Frost, and his nephew Trevor Davies.

A welcoming hour will be held on Tuesday, August 14 at 3:00 PM, with Celebration of Life Ceremony at 4:00 PM, immediately followed by a reception at Jones, Rich & Barnes on 199 Woodford Street in Portland, Maine.
