Stephen was born on August 13, 1947 in Portland, ME a son of the late Zelica Barlow Boissonneau. Stephen attended schools in Portland and upon completion of High School enlisted in the US Marine Corp where he actively served his country for 2 tours of duty in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in December of 1970 and returned home where he met and married Judith Downs and together they had two daughters.
Stephen worked various jobs in the construction industry. He was an Avid sports Fan and loved his New England sports teams. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent many summers camping with family & friends at his favorite campsite in Hiram, ME. If there was a bonfire he would be sitting and enjoying it with you. Stephen loved life and lived it his way.
He endured many health issues in his later years but never let his illnesses stop him from living life.
He leaves behind his two daughters Tammy Barlow Blanchard & her partner Wendell Gildard of Freeport and Tanya Pinkham & her husband Max of Skowhegan, ME. He also leaves behind two brothers, Patrick M Boissonneau of Windham, ME and Edward B Boissonneau of Gorham, ME; three sisters Patricia A McKenzie(David) of Old Orchard Beach, ME, Yvonne V Lambert of Windham, ME and Joanne F Derhagopian (Zareh) of Falmouth, ME. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
There will be a Military graveside service at 11:00am on Monday June 10, 2019 at New Calvary Cemetery, 1461 Broadway in South Portland, ME. A celebration of his life will be held following the service at the home of his sister Yvonne (Val’s) at 154 Cottage Road in Windham.
