Born in Portland, Maine on November 16, 1961, the son of Kenneth W. Fitzgerald and Norma Louise Vincent Fitzgerald. Roy was one of seven children, being the only boy. He grew up in Portland and attended Portland Public Schools.
Roy was currently employed at Matthew’s Bar in Portland as a bartender and bouncer, where he has worked for 4 years. During Roy’s lifetime he has done many types of jobs: roofing, working on dump trucks, landscaping and many more.
Roy was always willing to give a helping hand when someone needed help. Roy enjoyed cooking, fishing, camping, his family, friends and drawing.
Roy is survived by his only daughter Kristy Tracy New Gloucester. Longtime companion Liz Crimmin of Saco. Seven sisters, Rose Mary Freeman of Portland, Deborah Drew of Windham, Charlene Campbell of Portland, Victoria Stevens and her partner Doreen Woodward of South Portland, Beverly Lord of Portland, Stephanie Parker of Saco, and Josie Towne of Augusta, a step daughter LeAnn of Sanford and a step-son Shawn of New York.
Roy is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Emma, Olivia, Cori, Zachary, Caleb, Rylee, Jayden. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Roy is predeceased by both of his parents, Kenneth W. Fitzgerald (June 24, 2004) and his mother Norma Louise Vincent Fitzgerald (May 27, 2020)
