Bob was born in Canada to the late Leslie Feeney and Elizabeth Pond, and at a very young age moved to Maine. He attended Deering High School and proudly served in the United States Navy during WWII.
Bob made a career as a barber. For many years he worked out of his shop on Allens Corner serving generations of families. When Bob was not hard at work he was spending time with his loving wife, Theresa (Sullivan) Feeney and their two sons’. Together they enjoyed taking day trips to the mountains and the beach. Bob’s love of the outdoors was evident in camping outings, fishing with his sons, canoeing, and hunting.
Bob was a very loving and caring man. He was charitable to family and friends alike, and was always willing to help others in their time of need. He often volunteered his time as a barber to the less fortunate and always placed others ahead of himself.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of over 64 years Theresa S. Feeney; their two sons, Dennis Feeney and Michael Feeney all of Falmouth; and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Bob on Friday, October 17th at 1:00 PM at St. Pius X Church, 492 Ocean Ave. Portland. Burial will follow at Blanchard Cemetery in Falmouth.
In lieu of flowers the Feeney family suggests memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
