Dick was born to John and Marion Moore (Wilson) in Springfield, MA on January 4, 1941. He graduated from Ludlow High School in 1958. Dick met his wife, Gloria Jean Wakem when they both attended Ludlow High School. Dick worked for Cummins North Atlantic for 4o years first as a mechanic and then retiring as Parts Manager.
Dick and Gloria married on December 3, 1961. They welcomed three children, Richard Wilson Jr., James Moore, and Deborah Sabatino into the world.
Through the years, Dick enjoyed bowling, coaching baseball, watching all New England sports teams, and spending time with his family. Gloria and Dick enjoyed traveling together visiting Hawaii, Alaska, and several National Parks. He was elected to the Maine Babe Ruth Baseball Hall of Fame in 2021.
Initially moving to Hampden, Massachusetts, Dick and Gloria called Buxton, Maine their home for almost 43 years.
Dick is survived by his wife, Gloria, their children Richard Jr. and his wife Kari, James and his wife Brenda, and his favorite daughter Deborah and her husband Steve; nine grandchildren, Stefani, Lauren, Ashley, Molly, Teagan, Alicia, Michael, Sarah, and Katie; five great-grandchildren, Avaline, Amalie, Ellie, Harper Grace, and Harrison; and Star his dog who never left his side. He is also survived by his middle brother, Robert Moore. He was predeceased by his parents and his youngest brother Royal Moore.

His friends and family are invited to share happy memories and celebrate Dick’s life on Saturday, November 26 at 11AM at the Buxton Centre Baptist Church with a reception to follow at the church.
