Richard "Bo" M. Littlefield, Jr., age 71 of Windham died unexpectedly Saturday morning May 5, 2012 at his residence.
He was born in Portland a son of Richard M. Sr. and Maria Donatelle Littlefield. He attended Portland schools graduating from Portland High School class of 1959 where he was an outstanding member of the football team. He also played semi-pro football for the Portland Sea Hawks. Bo entered the US Army after high school having served in Germany. He was proud to be a veteran.
Bo was a mason contractor and Supervisor for Malia Construction Company for several years, and he would always state " I was very fortunate to work with my uncles especially Richard Donatelle." Bo also owned and operated G&L Real Estate for several years until his unexpected death.
Bo was a member for 30 plus years at Purpoodock Club in Cape Elizabeth where he was known as an avid golfer & competitor. He also was a member of the Highland Woods Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs, Fl for 15 years. A past member of Southern Maine Seniors Golf Association, and a member of the Bricklayer's Union.
Besides his wife of 44 years Andrea (Glantz) Littlefield of Windham, he leaves his mother Maria (Donatelle) Murphy of So. Portland, a sister, Mrs. James (Patricia) Franciose of Falmouth, a niece, Sabrina Murphy of Scarborough, a nephew, Joseph Mclaughlin of Brewer, his brother-in-law, Ronald Glantz and Lori Barrett, James and Diane Glantz all of Windham, sister-in-law, Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Sawyer of Gray, Cousin & Brother, Peter and his wife Shelia Malia and their sons Peter, Jr., and James Malia.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a time of visitation on Wednesday May 9, 2012 from 4 to 8 pm at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home, 199 Woodford St. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Thursday May 10, 2012 at 9:15 am to be followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St. Interment will follow with military honors at New Calvary Cemetery, So.
