Rhonda L Nappi , 60, of Gray, passed away Thursday
September 19th after a brief illness. She was born
in Portland on October 11, 1952, a daughter of Robert
Heskett Sr and Elizabeth M Walsh. Rhonda was educated in
South Portland, graduating from South Portland High School in
1971.
She married Paul M Nappi September 9, 1972 and had two children.
Rhonda was a stay at home mother to her two daughters until both of her daughters started school.
She worked for Shaw’s in North Windham for 20 years, and then went to work at the Cumberland County District Attorney’s office for the last 13 years, She was well liked and respected by everyone she worked with. Rhonda and Paul were looking forward to their retirement which was only a short time away.
Rhonda enjoyed cooking for her family and enjoyed having family and friends at their home in Gray.
She loved the short summers in Maine and would swim every day. Her favorite times of the year
were each spring when she and Paul would travel west to visit their daughters and grandchildren in
Arizona and in California, and then each summer when their daughters and grandchildren would come home to visit.
Rhonda and Paul enjoyed every weekend together and would always
take a long ride, on their motorcycle or in their car to go enjoy lunch
together at a new spot.
Rhonda will be missed dearly by her husband, Paul M Nappi; their daughters, Theresa M Lofgren and husband Derek of Chandler, Arizona, Monica L Park and husband Michael of Los Gatos, California; and their four grandchildren; Kaleb and Kaia Lofgren, and Maggie and Moses Park; sisters Judith Day and Patricia Roberts and brother Robert Heskett Jr. Rhonda will also be missed by Paul’s Mother and Father as well as all of his siblings. All of her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many nieces and nephews will also miss her dearly.
Visiting hours will be held at Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home at 199 Woodford St ., Portland, Monday Sept. 23 from 5-7 PM to be followed by a memorial service at 7 PM. The Rev. Harold Morshead will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Rhonda’s memory to the Brain Aneurysm Foundation @ www.bafound.org . Rhonda’s family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation and thanks to the nurses at SCU #3 at Maine Medical Center.
