He was born on January 16, 1934 in Westbrook, ME a son of the late Gedeon and Marie Louise (Pare) Tanguay.
Raymond worked in Textiles most of his life as a weaver at Camden Yarns in Lisbon Falls and Lewiston, Maine. He spent most of his retirement in Deland, Florida. He loved life, people and the right of others to express themselves in a good and positive way. He loved the ocean, enjoyed camping, cooking lobster bakes and a nice cold beer.
He is also predeceased by his sister Julie Tanguay-Doughty of Westbrook, his son James Allen Tanguay of Portland and his daughter Michelle Lynn Tanguay-Brown of Lewiston.
He is survived by his sister Lucille Sullivan- Tanguay of Malden, MA, his daughter Carolyn Tanguay-Townsend of Florida, his son David Tanguay and his wife Christina Kimball-Tanguay of Auburn and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He will be sadly missed by many, but never forgotten. Rest In Peace, Pops.
