Peter was a member of the Iron Workers Local Union 7 and the American Legion Paul Malia Post aka The Bunker. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and fishing, pool, darts and billiards. Peter enjoyed doing crossword puzzles every morning. Pete was a beloved friend to many. He was always willing to jump in and lend a hand to anyone. He could always be seen wearing jeans, a baseball cap and a smile. If you met him once you had a friend for life. He was someone you could always count on. As he liked to say when he was asked if he was good at something he would always reply, "better then most" and he truly was.
He is survived by his parents, Joseph J. and Mary Napolitano of Portland, his siblings: Joseph J. Napolitano Jr of Portland, and Patricia Napolitano of Saco; and his nephew Jack Napolitano of Portland. Peter will also be missed by his extended family and many friends.
Family and friends are invited to a time of Visitation from 4-7 Thursday January 19, 2012 at Jones, Rich & Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford St. Portland. Prayers will be recited at 9:15 am at the funeral home followed by A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 am Friday, January 20 at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 72 Federal St. Portland. Interment will follow at Old Calvary Cemetery in South Portland 1 pm Monday, January 23, 2012
