He was born in Rumford, ME on May 22, 1937 a son of the late Percy G. & Dolly (Tims) Tripp and has resided in Westbrook since 1985.
Percy was a veteran of the US Air Force, having served in the States and the Far East. He retired from AT&T in 1999 after 39 years of service.
Besides his wife he is survived his three daughters, Debra Fournier and her husband Dan of Buxton, Wanda Cote and her husband Dick of Rumford and Cindy Courchesne and her husband Claude of Leeds, a step daughter, Trudy Lyon and her husband Hank of South Windham and a sister Sally Turbide of Mexico. He is also survived by six grandchildren Amanda Smith and her husband Josh, Richard Cote and his wife Kim, Katelyn and Zachary Courchesne, Bradley Lyon and his wife Megan and Jason Lyon and his partner Angela, three great grandchildren Sophia, Lauren and Dominic as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings Annie Elizabeth Tripp, Garfield Tripp, Daisy Tripp, Keziah “Peggy” McIntyre, Lewis Tims and George Tripp.
To honor his wishes, there will be no funeral or memorial service. A private service will be held when his ashes are interred in the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, ME.
