Scarborough- Myrna J. Scott, 79, passed away peacefully in Portland on Saturday, December 12, 2020. The daughter of Myrtle Buzzel, she was born in Unity Maine on April 15, 1941.
Myrna was an avid Giants and Yankees fan and would watch them play any chance she got. She loved her family very much and the highlight of her year was to have them over Christmas Eve to celebrate and show her love by making her famous homemade meatballs and sauce along with her one of a kind Christmas cookies. And every year she would decorate the Christmas tree hanging the tinsel one strand at a time until it was perfect. She also enjoyed nature, especially feeding and watching the birds out of her living room window making sure the squirrels didn’t eat all the birds' food.
Myrna was predeceased by her husband of nearly 50 years Philip Scott. She was also predeceased by her two sons Richard and Steven Scott.
She is survived by her children Vicki Worcester, and her husband Craig of South Portland, Thomas Scott, and his wife Kate of Gorham, Trudy Scott of Scarborough, and Russell Scott of Scarborough. She is also survived by many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress St. Portland.
